Our conference preview series continues with the Big West!

One of the most underrated conferences in the country, this league is full of teams that can break brackets in March.

Storylines to watch:
- UC Irvine has dominated the regular season in recent years, can they end their NCAAT drought?
- Will Cal Poly make a jump after retaining Hamad Mousa?
- Is UC San Diego built for sustained success under Clint Allard?
- Year two for Mike Bibby at Sacramento State - can he turn things around?
- Utah Valley has won 25 games in back-to-back seasons - can they break through and win the league?

Check out comprehensive breakdowns of all 12 teams at the link in our bio.

Eric Dibami is a 6’10” forward coming off of an impressive season with FIU where he had one of the best freshman seasons in program history. Averaging 9.3 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 1.4 BPG, Dibami became the only player in FIU history to be named All-Freshman and All-Defense during a season. Among freshman in program history, he ranked third in double-doubles with eight, which led the team. Ranked #3 in rebounds among all FIU freshman throughout history and #4 in blocks, steals, and field goal %. Catch him this season at UC Santa Barbara. 👀

Alyo Hawkins Jr. @22ajhawkins22 (pictured) was Mr. Clutch for Losee in its matchup against Servite. With just seconds remaining, he found open space behind the three-point line, received the pass, and buried the go-ahead shot. Servite missed a last-second full-court heave, sealing the win for the Lions. Beyond the game winner, Hawkins knocked down a few other timely shots and played quality team defense.
