This Gator got 3 degrees hotter 🐊🎓 And like a number of my assignments, this post is definitely on time... Next slide -> #co2026 #uf #gogators #ufgrad #gatorgrad (Photo Credits: @morgihurd @hurds.eyeview | Some ceremony pics by: @trunknguyen) This past May, I graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelors of Arts degrees in Biochemistry, Political Science, and Chinese Language and Literature, on the Pre-Medicine and Pre-Law tracks. These past four years have been filled with vicissitudes—from coming in as a first year with immediate positions as Culture Chair for the Filipino Student Association @uffsa and as a Student Government Senator @ufstudentgov @ufsenate and joining Surge Interest Group @gvsurge, to going into my fourth and last year having interned at the United States House of Representatives, led the formation of the ROOTS Agency and of the Department of Advocacy as Vice President of Education of the Asian American Student Union @ufaasu, and written and sponsored more than 50 pieces of legislation as the Vice Chairperson of the Judiciary Committee of the Student Senate. However, through it all—whether it be the State government abolishing our DEI programs, celebrations, and offices or Calculus III—this Gator made it out of the Swamp alive and thrived. I am currently studying for my MCAT and LSAT in pursuit of my goal to attain an M.D.-J.D. dual degree. However, I am also looking to apply to a Masters of Public Health and return to Capitol Hill to continue my professional experience at the intersection of healthcare, human/civil rights, and the law. At this point in my career, I am the Scientific Advocacy Intern at CooperSurgical @coopersurgicalofficial, working to protect and increase access to reproductive care for women and members of the LGBTQ+ community in the United States and abroad. Onto the next chapter! But, never will I forget the memories and the growth that UF has afforded me. As always—Go Gators! 🐊 Next slide -> Degrees Earned: • Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry • Bachelor of Arts in Political Science • Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literat

🌊 What happens when history, myth and science meet beneath the waves? Before the Atlantic was fully mapped, its depths were a place of speculation, fear, discovery and wonder. On Thursday, Nov. 5, Dr. Christopher Pastore will explore how people from the 17th through 19th centuries tried to understand the ocean from the bottom up. Pastore traces the ideas, observations and encounters that shaped what people thought they knew about the sea and the strange, often unseen world beneath its surface. Part of the Blue Humanities Speaker Series, this free public talk invites us to dive into the histories that shaped how we understand the ocean today. 📍 Smathers Library, Room 100 🗓 Thursday, Nov. 5 ⏰ 4–5:30 p.m. Don't forget to RSVP and join us for an exciting deep sea adventure. Snacks and refreshments to be provided! #BlueHumanities #UFHumanities #AtlanticHistory #EnvironmentalHumanities #OceanStudies #uf
