Where do crisis, sculpture, and neuroscience meet? Join Visiting Artist Rebecca Kamen this Wednesday at 6 pm as she delves into her interdisciplinary practice in the lecture "Curiosity and the Creative Process as Self Care." Free and open to the public, Kamen's talk will take place at the Lamar Dodd School of Art in room S150. The artist will explore how crisis, curiosity, and the creative process not only generates unexpected opportunities for discovery, but also informs artwork which fosters new connections between art and science. Kamen will reference a variety of her recent projects linking art and neuroscience, including a 2023 exhibition, ”Dyslexic Dictionary“ at Arion Press Gallery in San Francisco, wherein nine artists with dyslexia engage alternative experiences of language and learning. Check the link in our bio to learn more about Rebecca Kamen and her upcoming lecture! 🔗 #artatuga #doddlife
