Dance | Hunger | Action 2026 — Festival Performances

This year’s festival featured three concerts: Youth, Pre-Professional, and Professional, bringing together 187 performing artists and 22 participating groups from the dance community.

The festival used dance as a platform to bring artists and audiences together while raising awareness of food insecurity in our community.

Thank you to all the performers, choreographers, participating organizations, and audiences who made this year’s festival possible!

“Last Ditch Effort” at @smcdt_ Dance-Hunger-Action 2026, beautifully captured by @lynnlanephotography.

This duet digs into the power dynamics of queer relationships: the tension, the tenderness, and the moment you decide whether to stay.

Grateful to be part of an evening that puts dance to work for our community. Always happy to represent @uhoustondance.

Grateful for the beautiful artistry of @myahjanellemm and @ssydddddddd
