Richard is setting sparks off 🧨🧨 as he blazes 🔥🔥 his way to UIC as a Biomedical Engineering major in the GPPA Medical Scholars Program (MSP)!

As you all may know by now 🙂‍↕️😛, GPPA is a 7-year combined 🔀7️⃣ undergraduate and medical 🏥🏥 school track that provides 🎒🎒 a direct path to earning an MD.

And as someone who already has healthcare 😷😷 research 🔬🔬 under his belt 🥋🥋 there shall be no ❌❌ fear 😳😳 entering an R1 research university 🧑‍🔬🧑‍🔬. With over $500 million 💸💸 in annual funding, it’s a major hub for innovation and discovery 🛠️🩺. The UIC College of Medicine, founded in 1882, itself is one of the oldest 👴👴 medical schools in the Midwest 🌾🌽, and it sits 🪑🐒 right in the Illinois Medical District 🚑🚑, the largest urban 🌃🌃medical district in the country. So from here on out ♾️💁‍♂️, Richard will be surrounded 🫂🫂 by medicine 💊💊 every corner he turns.

But that’s not what his college experience is all about. For some personality 🪄🪄, UIC’s mascot is Sparky the Dragon 🐲🐉 is inspired 🛎️🛎️ by the Great Chicago Fire ⚽️📺. Not to mention, the student body is one of the most diverse 🤗🤗 in the country, filled with people speaking 🗣️🗣️dozens of languages 🛗🛗 and bringing global perspectives 🌎🌎 to campus every day. Add that with the fact that Richard is big on sports 🏀🏐, biking 🚴🚴, and taking in the city’s nightlife 🦇🕷️, he’s probably making a lot of new friends 👯‍♂️👯‍♂️ (Look out 👀👀for him dominating the intramural badminton 🏸🏸 courts!).

You know he’s going to WAN-g WAN-g WAN-g 🙌🥇no matter what!

CONGRATS RICHARD & GO FLAMES ‼️❤️🔥
