LABRAL REPAIR → BEACH VOLLEYBALL 🏐🌊

Late-stage rehab isn’t about doing the same exercises faster.

It’s about teaching the body to move faster, react faster, and handle the demands of the sport again.

For this beach volleyball athlete, we’re progressing into more multi-directional, rotational, overhead, and sport-specific movement:

🏐 Overhead reaches → mimicking blocking
↔️ Lateral shuffles → passing & defensive movement
🔄 Rotational lunges → preparing for change of direction
⬅️ Lateral lunges → frontal-plane strength & control
🔥 Copenhagen variations → adductor strength & stability
💥 Hip flexor + core integration → connecting the lower body to the upper body

The goal isn’t to simply restore isolated strength.

It’s to connect strength + mobility + stability + speed + coordination so the athlete can move through the unpredictable demands of beach volleyball.

Because sport doesn’t happen in one plane…
and rehab shouldn’t either.

Restore the movement. Build the capacity. Earn the return. 🏐

Joe was invited to speak to the University of Iowa Pre-PT Club on Tuesday evening. Between work and kids’ activities, our family had quite a busy schedule this week…so Joe decided to invite Eliana along for this event to have some extra time together.

Eliana ended up standing up front with Joe, answering a few questions and even telling some Team Iowa stories of her own.

One of the many joys we have experienced owning Team Iowa is having the opportunity to include our kids in the work that we do. Whether is it hanging at the clinic while mom and dad work, volunteering at events and for local non-profits, or listening to mom and dad’s conversations about work projects- we love that our kids have the opportunity to learn, first-hand, what it takes to run a business and to be an engaged member of our community ❤️🖤
