Day 5/30: Pending is not just a status. It is a waiting experience.

When a product says “Pending,” the user is silently asking:

What happened?
What is still happening?
How long should I wait?
Is it safe to retry?
What should I do if nothing changes?

A useful pending state names the real stage, provides a time expectation, preserves proof and offers a clear recovery route.

The system may be uncertain, but the interface does not have to be vague.

Swipe through the carousel and tell me: what is the worst “Pending” experience you have encountered?

Day 4/30: A success message should confirm an outcome, not celebrate a click.

Submitted is different from received.
Received is different from processed.
Processed is different from completed.

When those states collapse into one green message, users are left guessing whether to wait or try again. That is how duplicate payments, support tickets, and lost trust begin.

Swipe through for:

the meaning of success, pending, warning, and error states

button states that tell the truth while work is in progress

a practical review method for matching UI copy to system evidence

When has a product said “successful” before reality caught up?

Day 3/30: Edge cases are often people a product team did not imagine clearly enough.

A long name. A lost phone. A weak network. A screen reader. A shared device. A real address that does not fit the form.

These are ordinary conditions. Narrow product assumptions turn them into blocked journeys.

Swipe through for a practical way to spot edge cases before handoff.

Which edge case has frustrated you as a user or designer?

Exploring a way to handle flows in a ride-hailing concept.

Instead of jumping across multiple screens, I tried keeping everything in one place. A floating bottom sheet that just updates as the user moves forward. Some ride hailing brands adopt similar concept.

Map stays.
You don’t “leave” the screen.
Things just… evolve.

But this kind of pattern can go wrong fast.

If the states aren’t clear, it gets confusing.
If you pack too much into it, it feels cramped.

So I kept it tight:

-> Enter location
-> See route
-> Pick ride
-> Confirm

Same layout. Just different states. All in a floating bottom sheet pattern.

Still experimenting with it, but it’s one of those small shifts that changes how the whole experience feels.

If you’re working on a product where users move through steps like this (rides, bookings, fintech flows, etc.), this approach might be worth exploring. Happy to take a look or help think through the flow.
