“Warmth for Ukraine” campaign - impact on the ground 💙💛 From January-May 2026, people across Australia came together in so many different ways - running, attending film screenings, supporting cultural events, visiting exhibitions, fundraising in their communities, and simply choosing to care. That support travelled all the way to Ukraine 🇺🇦 With your help, we were able to support: 🏫 10 schools 👥 more than 5,000 children 🐶 shelter caring for 50 animals 📍across 6 regions of Ukraine In total, AUD $113.4K was delivered through @futureukraine_australia "Warmth for Ukraine" campaign (combining donations received via our PayPal page, Stripe and direct bank transfers) helping provide generators, power stations, a solar battery and a heater to places where reliable energy can make an enormous difference. To every person who donated, organised, attended, shared, volunteered or stood behind this campaign - thank you. What began as a call for warmth as russia ruthlessly attacked Ukraine’s energy grid, became something much bigger: energy, resilience and solidarity reaching Ukraine from across Australia 🇦🇺 That solidarity is ongoing. The campaign is still open, and with another winter approaching, russia's attacks on civilian infrastructure are only set to intensify. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation here: https://futureukraine.org.au/fundraisers/warmth-for-ukraine/ or via direct bank deposit.

🇺🇦 HAPPY UKRAINE INDEPENDENCE DAY! 🇦🇺 Today, 24 August, marks 35 years since Ukraine declared its independence in 1991. From Kyiv to Canberra, and right here in Darwin, Ukrainians across Australia stand united in honoring our freedom, our identity, and our rich cultural heritage. Though separated by oceans, our hearts beat as one with our homeland. 💙💛 Across Australia—and especially within our vibrant Territory community in the Top End—we remain deeply grateful for the unwavering solidarity of our Australian friends and allies who stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Ukraine. To every Ukrainian in Darwin, across Australia, and around the world: stay strong, stay proud, and keep holding the light of liberty high. 💙💛 З Днем Незалежності, Україно! Слава Україні! 🇺🇦 Героям слава! #UkraineIndependenceDay #Ukraine35 #StandWithUkraine #UkrainiansInAustralia #UAANT

I think some of Adelaide’s best experiences are hiding in its community and cultural clubs. So I’m going to keep finding them. Latest stops this last week: 🇺🇦 Kozak Bar 🇮🇹 @altavillaclub What’s a community or cultural club everyone should experience?
