@1penemy Kate Moss, 2020
Mixed media on canvas
40 x 30 in

1Penemy, a renowned street artist from NYC, is known for his unique artwork that showcases a mugshot lineup of supermodels from the 90s, whom he grew up admiring. Starting with Kate Moss, Stephanie Seymour, Brooke Shields, and Cindy Crawford, he went on to create many more such pieces.

In his street art, 1Penemy captures the essence of the struggle faced by women, by depicting them in a mugshot and lining them up like suspects. His work is not limited to that, as he also pastes these images like "wanted" posters in back alleys and on graffitied walls.

His work draws a similarity to that of Warhol's, who also explored the downside of fame, by setting unrealistic standards of perfection and shaming those who couldn't meet them.

1Penemy's work has been featured in several publications, including the Daily Mail, Daily Front Row, Hello Magazine, Haute Living, Forbes, ComicBook.com, and The NY Times.

Now you can view this artwork at our G-Gallery.

@pitchblackart Off The Chain, 2022
Acrylic on canvas, custom frame, 40 x 40 in

Pitch Black is a New York City artist who uses cultural iconography to make pop art.

Inspired by the very definition of pop art; finding, procuring or otherwise repurposing images from our cultural collective, Black gets excited by taking these found elements and combining them in surprising ways.

Black’s personal style is to combine elements from the past with the present, whether that be imagery or even technique. Following in the footsteps of pop artists from the 20th century, who pioneered the sport, Pitch Black also embraces the 21st century by fully utilizing our current, more than abundant, pop culture resources.

You can find this piece represented in our @ggallery.nyc
