Culture isn‘t built in one big moment. It’s built through the choices we make every day. The traditions we continue. The people we invite in. The ways we choose to lead. Every action sends a message about who belongs, what we value, and how we care for one another. This National Hazing Awareness Week, remember that hazing prevention isn‘t just about stopping harmful behaviors. It’s about creating healthier ones.
Join us in building what’s worth belonging to.

Every conversation shapes culture. The words we choose can make someone feel welcomed, valued, and included, or they can normalize behaviors that don‘t belong in healthy communities. The phrases we repeat. The moments we speak up. The way we welcome others. They all send a message about what our groups value. This National Hazing Awareness Week, let’s choose words that build trust
instead of fear, connection instead of exclusion, and belonging instead of barriers. Learn more about building healthy communities at StopHazing.org.

The culture of a team or group isn‘t defined by its letters, jersey, bylaws, or traditions, it’s defined by how people feel when they join. Belonging starts with the everyday choices we make: welcoming someone new, questioning traditions that exclude or harm, speaking up when something doesn‘t feel right, and creating spaces where everyone feels valued.
Because hazing prevention isn‘t just about stopping harm, it’s about building communities where harm is never required to belonging in the first place. Explore our National Hazing Awareness Week Resource Hub and discover tools for creating healthier, stronger campus communities at StopHazing.org.

This National Hazing Awareness Week, we‘re asking every student leader, coach, advisor, group, organization, club, team, and campus community one question: What will they remember? Build the kind of culture where people remember being welcomed, supported, and valued from day one. Because belonging shouldn‘t be something people have to earn. It should be something we intentionally
create. 💙 Learn how you can help build healthier groups and campus communities at StopHazing.org.

Four councils. One Ragin’ Cajuns community.
We LOVE seeing all four of our Fraternity & Sorority Life councils represented on Student Orientation Staff! Our Greek leaders aren’t just making an impact within their chapters and councils; they’re helping welcome the next generation of Ragin’ Cajuns to campus! This is what Greek Unity looks like!

Being able to empower students with valuable knowledge is one of the most rewarding parts of higher education. This week, I had the privilege of presenting alongside my young fraternity brother and mentee, Peyton Jones, to the UL Summer Bridge Program.

We shared insights on the importance of higher education, the value of earning a college degree, and practical strategies for achieving success while making the most of the college experience. It was inspiring to see the students actively engaged, asking thoughtful questions, and embracing information that will serve them throughout their academic journey.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to pour into the next generation and looking forward to watching these students grow, reach their goals, and become outstanding leaders in their communities. The future is bright!
