Thank you so much Envision and Worldstrides for giving me such an amazing opportunity to experience so much within the fields of law & csi, and to grow as a person entirely. Being invited to this program was something I would never have expected considering it came through a creepy letter in the mail! However, I am forever grateful i took this opportunity and risk of coming somewhere knowing no one and not fully knowing what I wanted to take out of the program. Once it hit Day 2 I knew that right there at Georgetown University Is exactly where I wanted to be. I want to give a special thank you to the friends i made along the way and my wonderful advisors who helped me through figuring out which parts of law & csi I want to grow in and teaching me so much along the way. I couldn’t recommend this program enough.
So much love.

As I leave NYLF Law & CSI, I can’t help but feel incredibly grateful for the experiences, memories, and people who made this week unforgettable. 💙

Coming into this program, I knew I wanted to pursue law. CSI was never something I had seriously considered. I expected to enjoy learning about it, but I never imagined it would become a career path I could genuinely see myself pursuing. Through crime scene investigations, forensic lab simulations, and hearing from forensic scientists working in the field, I discovered a whole new side of the justice system. While my heart is still set on becoming a lawyer, I now leave knowing I have another path I’m excited about if life ever takes me there.

The law portion of the program only strengthened my passion. Participating in a Supreme Court simulation, competing in a mock trial, and hearing from attorneys with real courtroom experience reminded me exactly why I fell in love with law in the first place. Their stories, advice, and honesty helped me feel even more confident about the road ahead and the career I’m working toward.

One of the most surreal parts of this journey was spending eight days living at Georgetown University, one of my dream schools. Walking the campus every day, staying in the dorms, and imagining what life there could look like made my goals feel more real than ever. It wasn’t just a campus visit. It was a glimpse into the future I’ve been working toward.

Most importantly, I’m leaving with friendships I’ll always be thankful for. Being surrounded by students from across the country who share the same ambition, curiosity, and drive was inspiring in ways I can’t fully put into words. I know the connections we made this week won’t end here, and I’m excited to see where everyone’s journeys lead. The friendships, conversations, and future networking opportunities are something I’ll carry with me for years to come.

Thank you, NYLF, for challenging me, inspiring me, and reminding me that there are so many different ways to make a difference in the world. This week didn’t just teach me about law and CSI. It helped shape the person and future professional I hope to become. ⚖️🧬💙
