A little act of service can make a lasting difference. 💙 Grateful for the opportunity to give back, show up for our community, and make a difference one backpack at a time. Here’s to more moments of impact and purpose! ✨ #UMD #CommunityService #MakingADifference #auramission

Two months later, we are reminded of the impact that can be made when communities come together in service.💙 On August 24, 2026, the African Unity and Restoration Alliance (AURA) partnered with the University of Maryland: African Student Association Royal Court @umcpasa_royalcourt for a Back-to-School Drive at Paint Branch Elementary School, distributing backpacks and supplies to help students begin the academic year prepared and ready to learn. Each backpack represented more than just an item. It was a gesture of encouragement, an investment in a child’s education, and a reminder that our communities have a role to play in shaping the next generation. As Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” At AURA, we remain committed to advancing youth empowerment through education, service, and community engagement. We are grateful to the African Student Association Royal Court for joining us in this effort and helping us turn our shared commitment into meaningful action. Together, we are investing in brighter futures, one student at a time. #AURA #AfricanUnityAndRestorationAlliance #BackToSchoolDrive #umcpasa #ServiceWithPurpose

NO JUSTICE NO PEACE ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 Please join the Nyumburu Student Ambassadors and the GetFree Pod at UMD in collaboration with @umcpasa , @blackterp , @umdcsa , @naacpumcp , @ncnw_umd , and @umd.nphc for a protest on October 15, 2026 starting at 2pm on McKeldin Mall. We will not remain silent while UMD administration fails to adequately protect, support, and stand up for Black students in the face of racism and hate. We demand accountability, meaningful action, and a university that prioritizes the safety, dignity, and well-being of its Black community. #umd #blackterps #nyumburu #studentactivism #blackstudentsprotesting

Making a difference beyond the field! 💙💛🏈 So proud of UMassD Football and the Pre-Health Society for partnering with NMDP for our annual Be the Match donor registration drive! Together, they helped register 248 potential donors in just four hours—248 new opportunities to bring hope to patients seeking a lifesaving match. Thank you to our student-athletes, student leaders, NMDP partners, and everyone who registered. This is what it means to be a Corsair: showing up, serving others, and making a difference! Registered at the drive? Be sure to respond to NMDP’s follow-up text so your swab can be processed! #UMassD #CorsairPride #BeTheMatch #NMDP
