Disney Leadership Institute 🪄💫🧸

@marykateherman_ (PC ‘26) had the opportunity to attend the Alpha Phi International Fraternity Leadership Institute at the Disney Parks. She shares her experience from this incredible weekend:

“The Disney Leadership Institute was such an amazing experience! It was so much fun learning new leadership skills, growing as a leader, and connecting with Alpha Phis from chapters across the country. One of my favorite parts was making new friendships and meeting girls from other chapters who I know will continue to be some of my best friends. I learned so many valuable skills that I can bring back to my own chapter, like communicating more effectively and working as a team to create a stronger and more connected sisterhood. Getting to learn from one another, share our experiences, and bring new ideas back to our chapters made the experience so meaningful. Also, getting to experience the Disney parks together made it even more fun and gave us so many memories!🤍”

Thank you to @alphaphiintl for hosting this amazing event! ✨

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week at @univofmaryland!

Between classes, jobs, internships, social activities, and more, it’s essential that we take time to care for our mental health. It can be easy to forget to take a break, so here’s your reminder. 🤗

Taking care of your mental health means doing the little things to fill your cup. I encourage you to check in with yourself and do one thing for YOU today!

After 12 years in pageantry, becoming Miss Maryland Teen USA was a moment Sophie Pittman had worked toward for years. 👑 Behind it were countless interviews, competitions, setbacks and a lot of growth. Now, she’s getting to use that experience to connect with people across Maryland, encourage youth volunteerism and support other young women.

Along the way, Sophie has also found another group of women in her corner: her @umdalphaphi sisters, who have celebrated her wins, cheered her on and supported her as she balances college with representing Maryland.

Journalism student. Sister. Volunteer. Advocate. Mentor. Friend. Miss Maryland Teen USA.

Sophie is all of those things—and #MoreThanAMember.
