I ran into my husband after teaching class at U of M today right before he taught Capoeira to our World Dance Class students. I then had breakfast for lunch at Hive with one of the most influential women in my life. Thank you @tonymodelo for feeding the body and souls of our students today. Thank you @the.mstoni for keeping me on my toes. God knew what he was doing when he brought you into my life. To my Tony & Toni, my heart is forever with you both. I love you 🫶🏾

I spent the most incredible week at nationals w/ @reveldanceconvention in Orlando Florida! My first nationals alone was nothing but amazing! I met so many new friends and learned so much from the wonderful faculty! During this experience I was pre-screened to audition for OCU and received an acceptance into The University of Memphis department of theatre and dance/ dance science, an acceptance into the dance program at Florida Atlantic University and an acceptance into the Bachelors in Fine Arts program at Sam Houston State University! Cannot wait to see what the future holds💟

ACDA(American College Dance Association Southeast) Conference recap ✨
• Shared Stage to the Classroom + college #audition coaching at the inaugural College Dance Expo • Learned more about college dance programs across the Southeast •Reconnected with dance friends, former students, and my Brenau + KSU Dance crew •Presented “Creating Your Signature Dance Program” to college professors (a first for me!)
And yes… I attempted to direct a countdown for a group photo. We survived. 😅
New connections. Fresh conversations. Purpose-driven work.
Always grateful for this DANCE community. #acda #brenaudance #ksudance

This was a joy, and honor to be your teacher for the day. Thank you for being open to the discovery, asking questions and being humans. Thank you Rachel for wanting me to give your emerging artists an EXPERIENCE like no other and trusting me to give advice, guidance and laughter.

Huge thanks to my big sister @tamaranfranklin . Thank you for always speaking my name in spaces. It’s always an amazing privilege to see you in your first love and taking my class at that.

Happy National Girls and Women in Sports day!! If you know me then you know dance will always be my first love and it's shaped me into being the woman I am today. Today I wanted to highlight an incredible piece I had the opportunity to be apart of this past October at the University of Memphis. This piece was called "Home is Where The Heart Beats" and it was a celebration of the human body, a celebration in feeling comfortable in one's self, and a celebration of movement!! I am so thankful for all my body allows me to do, including my favorite sport ❤️ Thank you to sports, Thank you to Dance, and Thank you to all the incredible women that have influenced and guided me in my journey, I love you all!!

The 2026 Arkansas High School Dance Festival was fantastic! With university professors from all over Arkansas and surrounding states, students were able to take class, meet and greet to learn about programs, audition for entrance into college programs, and showcase their own choreography. Thankful to our dance community for pivoting and shifting to make this year another success! #ardancefamily #adn #ahsdf
