#squadgoals.

2015 called, and our rookies picked up. what happened next…was pretty lit. for the first time in program history, the wisconsin team placed into the final four of rookie rumble, AND @nickzylstr placed in the top fifteen out of forty-eight teams! we couldn’t be prouder!

honestly, we’re having “all the feels right now.” @ebrahimatron got a TWENTY-SIX rank award for his outstanding performance as an attorney. ebrahim, we’re so proud of you!

immense shoutout to the frankenstein team for repping our very own, @nickzylstr! we love supporting friendships with other teams, and couldn’t be happier that one of our rookies got the chance to work with some amazing people!

also huge shoutout to the lovely teams we were able to scrimmage! you guys are “#onfleek” (apparently this was a HUGE saying in 2015, i couldn’t tell you—i was in fifth grade).

feel old yet? @arriaalton

They’re back back back again! Congratulations to the 18 teams who earned open bids to the Opening Round Championship Series!

What is an open bid? This year there were 32 regionals that each produced 6 bids to ORCS (192 total). Schools can only send two teams to ORCS so if any program got more than two bids, those extra bids became open. We then looked to the teams who barely missed out on that top 6 finish and offered them spots. All of these teams earned between 6.5-5 wins to earn these open bids.

NATIONAL FLASH TRIAL CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to our Flash Trial team for bringing home the hardware as the champions of the 2025 National Flash Trial Competition! The Flash Trial team consisted of Abdullah Khan ’26 and Thomas Azari ’27, and was coached by Salsbury Director Ben Garmoe ’16. In addition to the championship, Thomas Azari was also named an Outstanding Advocate at the tournament!

The National Flash Trial Competition is hosted by the @berkeleylawtrialteam. The competition tests competitors’ adaptation and improvisation by only providing the fact pattern for each round an hour in advance. Each round is a new fact pattern, and the advocates only have an hour to prepare all aspects of their case.

We are so proud of Abdullah and Thomas for starting the season out with a championship!
