Grateful to have spent a few days in our nation’s capital catching up with my friends from @iaimpact building community and advocating for issues that affect all of us, but especially South Asian Americans. While there are individuals and forces these days that seek to narrow the definition of who is an American, this week was an opportunity for us to come to gather to reassert the theme of the summit - we belong. It was also wonderful to see our Ohio contingent grow to include @anitasmd and @kimsinghformason. Some of my highlights were definitely being on a panel with @ranjeevpuri, @kesharamvt, and @nidaallam (moderated by @deeptinyc), engaging with so many congressional leaders (and popping in to see other friends on the Hill), and hearing from @drvivekmurthy on his work to address our mental health crisis. But one final shoutout to @umdmoksha, a classical dance group that was founded by my wife 20 years ago and is still going strong. I was honored to get to meet them and pass along @swaymano’s well wishes.
