🎵 Proud to present one of our UX Design Award | New Talent 2026 winners in the category New Talent "Opus Studio: Accessible music-making for children" by Mark Vedberg (@markvedberg.designs) from @umeainstituteofdesign with Eva-Lena Bäckström.

Opus Studio impressed the jury by removing barriers that often make music feel inaccessible to children. By combining the openness of board games with intuitive music creation, it enables playful collaboration without requiring prior technical skills. The jury particularly praised its elegant simplicity, thoughtful testing process, and progression model that grows with children over time.

Warm congratulations to Mark Vedberg for transforming music-making into a collaborative, joyful, and confidence-building experience.

More cool stuff from Isaac’s Master Thesis for @mini at @umeainstituteofdesign
⚡️⚡️⚡️
“The chassis/frame was a huge part of the design of this car, with the goal being to make something that looks good both with and without bodywork. Trying to make it stripped down, repairable and customisable, based on what actual enthusiasts do with their cars. “
•
Scroll to @umeainstituteofdesign website or @stenegard_design if you want to read more about the project!
⚡️⚡️⚡️
“This project explores the future of car culture in a time where the automotive industry is rapidly shifting toward electrification, digitalisation, and
increasingly standardised mobility solutions. The result is a compact, bare bones vehicle, focused on mechanical clarity, repairability, and self
expression.”

A while ago, the @core77 Design Awards were announced, and a little late to the party, I’m excited to share that “Gongi” has been selected as a Runner-Up in the Medical & Healthcare Category! :)
-
Gongi is a smart, guided inhalation system designed to teach and reinforce correct inhalation techniques through calm, real-time feedback. Consisting of a warm, playfully designed docking station paired with an inhaler, Gongi moves away from the cold, clinical aesthetic typically associated with medical devices. Instead of relying on screens, complex digital interfaces, or post-use app analysis, Gongi uses an intentionally low-stimulus combination of light and sound cues.
-
A big shoutout to the amazing team, Artyom Shpagin and Zeynep Emiroğlu, for making this project possible!
-
If you want to learn more, feel free to take a look at the @core77 website :)
