GOLDIE: THE HORIZONTAL POST ㅋㅋ Whenever @vinylricheee calls with a project he wants to discuss, its already a given that its going to be buzz. Piquing my curiousity moreso when even @dj_bowlcut was excited for me to hear it from Richies mouthㅋㅋ. Later, we meet n chat dnb and the tales of our raving pasts; he asks me with a cheeky smile who my favourite @metalheadzmusic DJ is. Silly question- theres only one answer and he knows it: @mrgoldie . Cue the wry smile turning into a mischievous grin. The idea that had already manifested and been locked in for a couple of weeks into the future. And what a future. Celebrating a timeless past in the present. Years in the making. Dedicated to the old raves and the new parties and the energy everyone contributed between. Listen, its always a pleasure to be asked to be on sets/shows/festivals, obviously. Sometimes i take it for granted though. Not this time. As said on the previous post, just to be on the same lineup as any legend of the genre i apply a lot of my trade in is something special. It goes beyond that when you get asked to help contribute to the vibes of the very set you were happy enough to be in the presence of hearing. Not once but twice. Massive shout outs to the djs that make it so easy to MC for when their sets already have that instilled energy waiting to explode out: 💿 @__seyn__ & @more_breaks_kr 🔥 My man @rompanimusic absolutely smashed it out of the place with a perfectly played set that already had the crowd buzzing. LETS GOOO😂 If it wasnt for such a boss vibe that made it so nice to spit on im sure Goldie wouldnt have asked me to stay on. So double biggups. The main event needs no retrospective regailing. You were there or you werent. That type of seminal performer n performance cant be retold through words. There are, however, these incredible 📸 @robin.mpeg took that will convey the energy and vibe far better than any diatribe could. (Theres still a vertical post to comeㅋㅋ) The largest insta caption ill ever write so let me finish by thanking @two.eight.28 for the most boss gold teeth and #stussyseoul @heyimheyin for the quality wears. The shine on stage defo matched the shine within

24 HOURS IN SEOUL w/ @mrgoldie 📷 I am only an 80s baby, but sometimes I feel like I have lived at least two lives One that was back in UK growing up as a yute, raving at all the legendary venues, realising the reality of London living; the other born in my late 20s that decided to head to Asia for 7 years of proper jobbing and ended coming back to what I love with SCR Last Saturday something very special happened that joined these two lives together properly and it was a seriously cool moment. Not just that we had GOLDIE, a titanic figure, guy on every 90s/00s magazine cover and dance music show come to seoul for the first time since 2010. Not just that I also had my mate of those times Rompa join the show and see what we had built here and going home (like all of us that day) better dressed #stussyseoul 🙏 The most real thing for me was kinda having the past, present and future all in one room at the same time. A community of those in it for the love; ones that made the scene back then and those carry on that spirit 30 years later all the way over here in Seoul. if you were there on Saturday you were all at something rather special and if you are still reading this long ajoshhi caption I appreciate everyone that made it so fcuking pure and dare I say Timeless. Sometimes the point of it really is the sake of it.
