I visited @umibo_drinkslab today with my friend on broadstairs beach. I don’t think I’ve ever tried macha properly before so I feel like this was a real treat, the proper stuff. What I loved about it was the experience and education behind it all so we were not only made our drinks but told about the history behind it which we really appreciated. ❤️

Their matcha tea is from the highest quality region of Wazuka, Uji, Japan, you won’t find any pesticides, additives, no fillers, no sugars. Just a cup of pure goodness and pure matcha

A drink with the right balance of sweetness and minimal bitterness.

I believe there is something for everyone here! We had ours hot - mine with maple and coconut milk and my friend’s, vanilla and oat milk.

Not sure what you fancy? They’ll talk you through it and guide you to what you think you would like. I can’t wait to go back and try something else. ❤️🍵

A little September recap because it was a lovely one 🌊🍂

Now bring on cosy autumnal walks, pub fires, craft evenings, spooky season and all that October has to offer in our little town by the sea.

What was your September highlight and what shouldn’t we miss in October?

Hot-desking at Umibo above Viking Bay ⚓️ whilst the noisy floor-sanding works are going on at Crow Hill 🐦‍⬛ Could think of worse places to clear my emails and admin 👩🏻‍💻

✨July & August in Broadstairs ✨

Before we get ~too~ into September, let’s have a little look back at what a wonderful July and August we had. There’s far too much to include, but this gives a flavour 🤩

From @wearegirlhike hangs to @baysidecafe_ summer evenings, @namakabroadstairs and @finxsbeach mornings, a few hundred iced coffees, açai bowls and ice creams in between, plus beach days, fireworks and @broadstairsfolkweek, Summer in Broadstairs just hits different.

What were your highlights? 🌞🌊🌅🍧🍦
