The materials we choose shape more than the look of a space. They influence how it feels, how it functions and how it stands the test of time. 🤍

In the final conversation of our Atelier Collection x @elementa_interior series, @yvonnenifoghlu and @josephinevisser discuss what makes a material special, the balance between beauty and practicality, and why understanding where materials come from matters. ✨

Thank you for following along with our conversations. We hope you’ve enjoyed watching as much as we’ve enjoyed bringing this series to life. 🤍

There’s nothing I love more than getting a group of founders and high performers together in one room.

Yesterday I got to do exactly that at @unboxcommunity, where I ran a stress management workshop for people living and working in Dubai.

When it comes to performance, most of us invest a lot in our bodies. We train, eat well, track our sleep and take recovery seriously. Very few of us give our mind the same attention, even though it has just as big an impact on how we perform.

Managing stress isn’t about getting rid of it completely. It’s about noticing when it’s starting to build, and having practical tools to manage it effectively.

In the session, we talked about what stress is and how it shows up differently for each of us, and I shared tools to help everyone feel calmer, think clearly under pressure and perform at their best.

There were so many great questions and such honest conversations.

Thank you to the @unboxcommunity team for having me, and for creating a space where people can talk about this openly 🤍

What makes a space feel truly special? Is it the architecture, the feeling it creates, the materials chosen, or something less tangible? 🤍

In the next conversation in our @ateliercollectiondubai x @elementa_interior series, Yvonne and Josephine share their perspectives on design, the meaning of luxury, and the details that can transform a house into a home.

What makes a space feel truly special to you? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. ✨

24six9 Dubai Chapter presents Idea Lab

You know those crash test adverts. Perfectly good car, very solid wall, 60kmph, purely to see what flies off. That is Friday. - Fewer airbags though.

Pitch it with slides or sheer conviction. The IMPACT. The reasons why you thought it was a great idea to come up with what you want to set your path on. That customer you are - or were - fairly sure existed ahem Far better to learn if it's roadworthy now, before you put yourself in it as a crash dummy.

Occasionally somebody goes “hang on, I can fix that bit”, and your Friday pays for itself 🔥

🎤 Pitching? Form closes Thursday, 22 October, 6PM:

Long-term, big picture thinking matters.

Too many businesses make decisions based on what feels urgent now, without thinking about where those decisions lead over time.

In this Unboxed Talks highlight, Paul Donnelly explains why short-term thinking quietly weakens businesses, and why stronger operators learn to zoom out earlier.
