POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hi, you.

The door is opening. 🚪

Baby… That thing was chained up, deadbolted, padlocked, and collecting dust. 🔒

Then y’all started knocking.

Loudly.

Then…

it crashed opened.

If ModelLand brought you here…

welcome to SMiZE & DREAM.

And if SMiZE & DREAM brought you here…

welcome to ModelLand.

And don’t worry…

we’re not just Four Chicks in Green. 💚💚💚💚

There’s room in this clique for every one of you.

Fifteen years ago, I released a book called ModelLand.

Maybe it was too much.
(It was.)

Maybe it wasn’t enough.
(Depends who you ask.)

Maybe it was too early.
(Who knows?)

But now I see…

maybe it was waiting.

Waiting for this moment.
Waiting for you.
Waiting for us to find each other.

ModelLand was always a world where beauty could be questioned, stretched, flipped, and dreamed into something bigger.

A place where the rules didn’t get the final word.

And then yesterday, on my last post, I read this comment from @immagoudaboy:

“Dylan is the first time I felt seen in a character. ❤️”

I read it three times.

Showed my mama.

Then I just sat there for a second.

Because that…

that is the dream.

That is why this world exists.

And now that world has stepped into a new one.

This issue moves.
It speaks.
It reveals.
So much.

I debated how raw to be.

Then I thought…

no.

Let them feel it.

Some of you in Sydney will get to taste ModelLand in real life.

But every single one of you, no matter where you are in the world, can taste this issue.

Tell me what corner of the world you’re entering from.
I want to know who’s walking through this new door with me.

Wherever you are…

turn your sound ON. 📢

Loud. 💥

Because ModelLand has entered SMiZE & DREAM.

And beauty?

Beauty is in the SMiZE of the beholder.

Always has been.

And yes… maybe a little strife too. 😉

This is a new chapter I never saw coming.

And if you want it…

there is so much more on the way.

It exists because of you.

Now dive in…

I made this with everything I had.

For you.

I 👁️ you.

Love,
💛 Tyra B
