Went to my first @honchopgh with @ohyunglia and @unclecouture. I got to dance barefoot in the mud (last pic for wikifeet) swim and dance in the river, saw friends from the past and far, saw Lia perform an insane set (which I filmed, more later), saw the sunrise cuddling a new friend in a hammock to @chellejoestar’s set, attended some amazing panels, and just overall experienced such vast queer and trans joy in nature. See you next year.

YEE HA 馬 NI HOWDY 🐎🔥

Giddy up, all TBOCs! We’re centering trans masculine POC as we ride into the Year of the Fire Horse with a hoedown at a secret venue—to eat well, sing loud, be soft, and set intentions for the year ahead. We’ll have a potluck with delicious tteokguk (V, GF, BYO dumplings), karaoke, and activities to welcome the new year. We’re also accepting donations to help cover venue and food, or you could join the raffle for a chance to win a sick @anti_bone.xyz tote 🤠 RSVP at the link in bio for one of the 25 seats at the table!

Venmo @anti-bone for donation/raffle entry.

**The venue is not wheelchair accessible**

🌊✨Just some weight removal and a new shape for @unclecouture . I used a razor to accentuate their natural texture and bring more volume up top! So sweet to see ya after so long! 💗

A person with dark wavy hair that is bleached in different places looks into the camera before their haircut. The video cuts to clips of them after their haircut with the overall shape lifted and the heaviness removed revealing a wolf/mullet style.

"Bad" Cameras Taking "Bad" Photos #4: Holga 120CFN

Holga is a well-known name among the experimental art school crowd. These ultra-low budget all plastic cameras from Hong Kong are hastily made with manufacturing defects that became marketing points.

These were super popular when I was in undergrad during lomography's heyday, so naturally I ignored them. 😂 They use 120 film since it was more widespread in PR China in 1982 when the camera was introduced. Most people shoot these in square 6x6 format, but I decided to use the portrait oriented 4.5x6 format instead to (hopefully) get 16 shots on a roll instead of 12 with the square. The cameras are less popular now that film is so expensive and people are weary of spending $3 a shot on an image that's technically bad when more economical options exist in 35mm.

I tried to exploit the less-serious nature of this camera by taking it to the beach this summer where sand, salt and surf normally spell a nightmare for expensive gear. The version I have has a colored flash mode that rotates to 4 different color options (white, yellow, blue and red). I tried to get some fill flash in some of these shots but you can barely tell given the brightness of the scene. I had a lot of fun with it there, so I think this one will become my beach camera. 😄
