Last year it snowed approximately 3 times in Tahoe. 3 huge dumps spread across the whole ski season. In March it seemed liked it was over but, April delivered one more time to have us skiing until May! Gotta love Tahoe @akova.gear @ziplineski @clipstic.ski @palisadestahoe #fyp #laketahoe #winter #halloween

Not long now hopefully we’re gonna be riding soon , with winter close I can’t help but to think of Z and some of the old times . Flying on helicopters not giving a shit about the outside world. Fully engaged and living in the moment. We had no cell phones no iPads we didn’t know where anyone else was in the world much less give a fuck . We didn’t care about selfies or trying to post a pic of everything . Back then you were totally detached and fucking out there . We fucking killed it. Nowadays, you don’t have your iPhone for a day and you’re losing your fucking mind lol . Keep rocking up there bud we’ll be sliding for you🤘🏼. I remember this day. One of the few times we scored bottomless powder in New Zealand in 1996. . And the wine and cheese !! 🔥. One of my favorite photos of all time… @doubleoszabo @methven_heliski #nocellphones #pure #shred #rockon

Some of the best things about mountain life happen when we show up for one another. Today’s Tahoe Freeride “Let ’em Rip!” golf fundraiser brought that spirit onto the course, raising funds for athlete scholarships and supporting a community where young skiers and snowboarders can challenge themselves, build resilience, and experience the joy of finding their own line. Behind every young athlete’s ambition are people willing to help make the next step possible (thank you, Jason Dobbs, Tahoe Freeride’s Executive Director). Today was a chance to be among them. A heartfelt thank-you, also, to my close friend Uncle E, our celebrated local announcer and head of the AKOVA Mountain Krew, for inviting me to lend a hand. AKOVA sponsored hole #14, and E brought along about ten AKOVA athlete brand ambassadors to help out. Seeing athletes give their time to support opportunities for others made the day especially meaningful. And a wonderful connection: Julia Cunningham, the young skier I recently interviewed and featured in 96146 News, has just signed with the AKOVA Mountain Krew! Congratulations, Julia, and thank you, Uncle E, Jason Dobbs, and the entire crew at the Tahoe Junior Freeride Series, for putting your energy and heart behind the next generation. . . @akova.gear @skimagazine @tahoefreeride @bluewolfgallery999 #akovamountainkrew #strengththruintegrity #olympicvalley @palisades_tahoe_cf @dallasgmoore @marc.d.71 @palisadestahoe @juliamc1019 @shanemcconkeyfoundation
