“We are stepping through the windows of our minds…”

I came to FAMU because they told me to go to college AND GRADUATE because I was smart.

I joined Progressive Black Men because I wanted to do community service. Boy, was I in for a surprise.

Focusing only on the positive stuff… the men of PBM threw me my first birthday party, helped me get my first internship, showed me the power of “oneness” and getting “in the box,” and taught me that a friend helps you move a couch, but a brother helps you move a body.

They provided me with a space where I could be myself (always right and a little stubborn) by mostly ignoring me. And they gave me some of the best relationships I’ve ever had.

PBM is where I learned the power of community and that, truly, “one can chase a thousand, but two can send ten thousand to flight.”

I am the man I am today because of Progressive Black Men, Inc.

25 years and growing strong.
