MUST TRY CHINESE FOOD CAFE IN LA

Let me put you on to one of DTLA’s spots you NEED to try! 🤤🔥

Uncle John’s Cafe is known for its delicious Chinese fusion and Asian classics, and let me tell you… you’re in for a treat with every dish! Each bite is packed with flavor and had me wanting more. 😍

Not only do they have yummy lunch specials, but they also serve breakfast 😋 and trust, I’ll definitely be back to try it! 👀🍳

Here’s what you NEED to order:
🍤 Slippery Shrimp
🍚 Fried Rice
🍜 Chow Mein
🔥 Spicy Fried Pork Chops
☕️ Vietnamese Iced Coffee to wash it all down!

Everything was SO good, and this is definitely a spot you’ll want to check out ASAP! 📍✨

Joe Chew, second of his name, approved. Great Grandpapa Joe, operated the beloved Ming Terrace restaurant in Red Bluff. Like @unclejohnsdtla he served the community, bringing people together over Chinese American cuisines

Ming Terrace reflected the resilience and entrepreneurship of Chinese Americans in the decades following World War II. Its chapter in Red Bluff’s history came to a close when construction of Interstate 5 detoured traffic away from Chinatown, but its legacy lives on through the hard work and last of its kind at Uncle John’s. The only place left to bring these old memories of those Restaurants like Ming Terrace to life, and to continue our American story.

The nights are long, but we can always rely on the food @unclejohnsdtla The legacy of Chinese American culture we hope to pass on through the love of each dish we share as a family. After World War II when great Grandpapa Joe Chew was 25, Chinese American food became one of the ways a new generation built a place in American hearts and with them, they changed hearts and minds leading to the eventual repeal of the 1882 Chinese Exclusion Act.

Honestly one of the best restaurants I go to.
Just dad I don't live close enough to go more often.

The spicy pork chops with fried rice is my favorite, but this teriyaki chicken and fried rice is good too!
