Postpartum looks a little different for me this time around.

Continuing the Haitian 🇭🇹 tradition of Bain has been such a special part of my postpartum journey, but having my husband help care for me through it makes it even more special. 🥹

After having my other babies, I remember looking at my postpartum body like 😳😂 thinking I needed to hurry up and “snap back.” But this time? I’m in NO rush.

Yes, we gain weight during pregnancy. Our bodies change. We literally grew and birthed a whole human! Why are we expected to look like we didn’t? 😭

Right now, I’m focused on nourishing myself, breastfeeding my baby, healing, resting, and enjoying these newborn moments. Everything else can wait.

The weight can wait❗️Me & my baby ARE the priority. 🤎🤱🏽

One of you will betray me tonight…’ 🤰🏽😂 Pregnancy symptoms really get up every day choosing violence. Which symptom betrayed you the most? Mine? Acid reflux (3rd trimester), that random metallic taste in my mouth(2nd trimester), hot flashes(1st trimester), and acne breakouts(1st trimester).

Baby #4 has been keeping me humble. 😂

Sometimes you just have to join in on the trends. 😂🤰🏽

Yes… I know. The belly gave it away weeks (okay, months 😅) ago. But we kept seeing this trend and couldn’t stop laughing, so Fritz and I had to give it a try.

There’s something so special about being able to laugh together during this season. Pregnancy isn’t always glamorous. It comes with sleepless nights, random aches, getting winded from doing almost nothing, and wondering how one tiny person can kick your ribs and your bladder at the same time. 😂 But moments like this remind me not to take it all so seriously.

Baby #4 has definitely kept us on our toes, and we’re soaking up these last little moments before life gets even busier. One day we’ll look back at this video and laugh because we really stood there acting shocked… while I’m clearly carrying a whole baby. 🤣

If you’re pregnant, have been pregnant, or just appreciate a good laugh, tell me… would you have played along with this trend too? 😂

Now excuse me while I go wait for this little one to decide when they’re ready to make their grand entrance. We’re ready whenever you are, baby. 💛✨

I’ve noticed that some people choose not to share their due date, how far along they are, or even their baby’s gender.

I’m curious… why?

I know that in Haitian 🇭🇹 culture (and some other Caribbean cultures), some families keep pregnancy details private because they believe it helps protect mom and baby from people with bad intentions or negative energy. It’s a tradition that’s been passed down for generations.

What about you?

Do you share your:
🤰🏽Due date?
🩷💙 Baby’s gender?
📏 How many weeks/months you are?

Why or why not? No judgment either way, I just love hearing the different perspectives and traditions people have. 💛

Your girl is 38 weeks. Chickpea will be making their entrance soon. 🥹

😂 Pregnancy hormones are something else.

My husband @uncommon_3 will be trying so hard to calm me down, telling me, “It’s not your fault.”

And somehow my brain hears… “You’re right. It’s YOUR fault.” 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

Poor man can’t win sometimes. One minute I want comfort, the next minute I’m ready to debate something he didn’t even say. 😅

To all the partners out there trying your best with your pregnant wives… we see you. And to all my pregnant mamas, tell me I’m not the only one whose hormones be translating conversations completely wrong. 😂

All I said was, “Let me show y’all the bathroom…” 😂

Why was he acting like I was the problem? Sir, you’re the one making this awkward. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣
