David Morales Live From The Red Zone on WBLS, NYC 1991’ (Manny’z Tapez)

Let’z roll back 2 tha year of 1991 & the radio is locked on WBLS... & over the airwaves you hear this dope House Music being simulcast from The Red Zone which was David Morales home. Another DJ & Club that needs 2b recognize in thee House Music world. These were tha dayz people came 2 tha club 2 release their tension after a hectic work week & the DJ of that club would make you 4get about all your stress & worries, unlick 2day with the crowd standing there with their face stuck on their smart phones & not enjoying the experience.
It’z times like this that I thank God 4 creating me in the decades I grew up in.... Man those were tha dayz!!!
In any case, this mix goes 2 all those old-skoolerz who lived it like myself.

Ernie Kendell - NYC Deep Underground House Mix - 1991’ (Manny’z Tapez)

Around in the late 80’z & into the early 90’z I started getting tapes DJ’s all around the globe wanting to do a guest mix. And if they were up to par, I’d played their mixes instead of doing my own live DJ mix.
My passion was always in educating the listeners to what was being played around the globe. And in this set, I got from a NYC promoter of a DJ named Ernie Kendell. From the very first listen I played it on our show. & the rating were great as the phone lit up.
I haven’t heard of Ernie ever since. If anyone here no of his where about, please have him hit me up on djmtraxxx@yahoo.com
Other then that, Enjoy Ernie’z muzikal journey.
