🎨Clarity beats accuracy. A great painting comes from understanding the form, not perfect colors.

I cover more of this in my class, currently live at @underpaintacademy !

Something something the mundanity of the grotesque

I finally finished a piece I've been working on for ages! I'd been noodling on the concept for months, and taking @papa.png 's course on experimental digital painting through @underpaintacademy really unlocked how to actualize it! Super happy with this one

Painting I made during @papa.png ‘s workshop at @underpaintacademy .It was quite surreal exploring techniques which were structured in a way that allow you to tap into a deeper and more freeing place. It was also the most fun I’ve had in a long time : )

Toji Fushiguro ⚡️
Jujutsu Kaisen Splash Art💦

I’ve been working on this illustration for the past 8 weeks with the seminar of @moulinbleu at @underpaintacademy

Splash art is one of my favorite things from League; the artistic aspect of these massive illustrations always blows me away, and this was a chance to learn from one of my favorite artists doing these pieces, getting to know the process and how Victor solves problems was incredible!

When thinking about what subject pick for the artwork, bringing this style to anime characters was a no brainer, so Toji from JJK was the winner!

I hope I captured the intensity, mood, and strength of this character! This whole scene was very impressive to me, so that’s why I’m focusing my homework on it!

Hope to get to do more pieces like this, I’ll try to attend Victor’s seminar again because it was so worth it!

So tell me, what do you think of this piece?

Also, I’ll have some prints available this weekend at @newenglandtattooexpo ✨

Deadlock Graves Fanart 🍂
For the last couple of weeks, I had the pleasure to be part of @moulinbleu 's splash art course with @underpaintacademy as a critique tier student and had an absolute blast!
My brain kinda exploded, and I think I will need to go through everything I learned again when working on my next piece but I'm grateful I got to be part of such a lovely community with such amazing artists c:

Thanks for being such a compassionate teacher and sharing your passion and knowledge with us, Victor!

I learned a lot taking @moulinblue’s Spectator Tier’s Splash Art class at @underpaintacademy for the past few months!

I focused on drawing Spiderman Miles Morales in Victor’s class and learned a lot of valuable skills for illustrative art pieces! Taking Victor’s class was a huge level up for me! 😁😁
