I spent the night at my mom’s yesterday and that meant a trip to @undertheseafabrics . I nabbed this gorgeous @nightstalkerscalling thread - “Peacock”.

I never need to buy another needle minder again (because I have so many!) but that didn’t stop me! I have been obsessed with geese, especially, lately, so had to get a goose needle minder.

My fave needles!

And a mystery opal fabric! I can’t wait to pick out a pattern to stitch on this. Maybe a mermaid?! 🤩

Part 18 of the Snails Hollow SAL from The Stitch Crypt ( @thestitchcrypt ), and a completed and stretched stitchery!

Since the part 18 areas were small (see photos 2 and 3), I decided to sit down and stretch the whole thing after scrolling down to stitch the peeking ghost on the right side (photo 4).

I'm so happy that the little bird from one of the earlier parts of the SAL was brought back to hang out on the frame! He's so cute!

Since I stitched on linen, none of my lines were straight (for example the bottom of the letters and the chain to the lantern) and since I know I'm going to frame it in an 11 x 14 inch frame, I cut out a piece of foam core board and got to stretching and pinning! It's not perfect, but it's good enough for now. There's a few places I might try to straighten more once the fabric has had time to relax. But it's pretty much ready to pop in a frame when I get one!

And yet another of my big scroll frames is empty again! What to stitch next . . .

Part 17 of the Snails Hollow SAL from The Stitch Crypt ( @thestitchcrypt ), the penultimate part!

We were given two options this week, one with ghosties and one with clouds. Unfortunately, I wasn't in love with either of them on their own. To my eye, the ghosties were too stark against the background, and the clouds seemed washed out and without the same level of dimension compared to the rest of the design.

So I decided to combine the two parts instead, and I'm so happy with the result! The ghosties take precedence with their black replacing the cream and light grey stitches that make up the clouds wherever they overlap.

I haven't yet stitched the peeking ghostie near the bottom right of the pattern, but I'll stitch him before I take the final photo after part 18 next week since I have to move my stretcher bars to get to his area.
