Date days or nights don’t always have to be a whole production. 🤎✨

I think sometimes the pressure of planning—or just life in general—gets in the way, and we end up not doing anything at all.

✅ But some of our favorite dates are actually the easiest ones. The spontaneous “want to go grab a burger?” or “let’s go walk around for a little bit” kind of plans.

Or simply the “we really need to get out of the house” kind of plan. 😂

Last week, that looked like burgers on a patio with Toby, tacos at a night market, frozen yogurt, cold beer and apps while catching a game, a visit to the salmon hatchery, looking at art, and brunch followed by a walk along the river.

Nothing crazy. Just little reasons to get out of the house and go do something together. 🫶

Some things just go together—sun, a patio, burgers, and cold beverages. ☀️🍔🍻

Squeeze in a few more patio days before Seattle summer says goodbye.

✅ And one of our favorite spots for all of the above is @uneedaburger, especially with their dog-friendly patio. 🐶

A Fremont favorite since 2010, it’s my kind of burger joint—casual, unfussy, a little quirky, but still chef-driven.

Nilendu’s favorite is the lamb burger with manchego, arugula, and cured lemon.

My personal favorite is the Big Star—kind of like a Texas-style BBQ burger, but with a BBQ sauce that tastes way more unique than your standard bottled situation.

Add crispy onion rings, sweet potato fries, an Oreo shake for me, a cold beer for Nilendu…and Toby hoping we drop literally anything. 😂

☀️ Seattle summer is on borrowed time, so grab a burger, find a sunny spot on the patio, and enjoy it while it lasts.

🍝 Top 5 Kid-Friendly Restaurants in Seattle (that won’t stress you out !! )

First, this video is from The Plaza Hotel and from a time when I definitely wasn’t considering what was “kid friendly.” In fact, I was probably searching for the opposite. How times change…

As someone who still loves to get out with friends for a good meal, I know it can be stressful to pick a place that works for the kids and where the staff and other patrons won’t be shooting death glares the entire time.
