Topic: Hosting God's presence 1- Life of Obedience
Text: 1 Samuel 15:22-23(NLT), Psalm 16:11(AMP)

The presence of God is what makes the difference in everything we do as believers. If you search through the scriptures, you will observe that what made the mighty men and people of recognition stand out was because God was with them in everything that they did.

If you look through the lives of the mighty men, from the likes of our forefathers of faith to prophets of old to Jesus and the apostles recorded in the Bible, what you will notice that they all had in common, which stood out in their journey with God, was their level of obedience and submission to the will and Word of God.

Obedience goes a long way in our relationship with God. It is in the place of obedience that we can submit to the will of the Father. Submission doesn't just come to man naturally, we choose to submit and that is through willful obedience. The level of our relationship(Intimacy) with God is dependent on our level of obedience to the will of God. So, the dwelling presence of God and whether or not we carry Him every time in our journey is dependent upon how submissive and obedient we are to God.

Obedience doesn't come easy, but as believers, if we truly love God, and we want to continually host His presence, so that we can always enjoy that 'cool of the evening experience(intimacy)' with God, that comes with peace and joy beyond the understanding of the world, we must live a life of total obedience to the will of God.

Conclusion
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to hearken than the fat of rams.
1 Samuel 15:22b (KJV).

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Hebrews 4:14‭-‬16NLT

TITLE: WHAT SEEST THOU?
Text: Jeremiah 1:11-12

Today the Lord is asking us a question; What seest thou? And it is very vital to understand that when God asks you a question, you don’t rush to give an answer. This is spiritual intelligence. You will learn this dimension in the school of the spirit and you will know it by experience that when a spirit asks you a question, it is not because he don’t know the answer, so you must be very careful what you reply. Jesus said the words I speak to you, they are spirit and life [John 6:63].

Back to our discuss, the word SEE means to discern or to deduce after reflection or from information. In other words it means to perceive with the eyes (discern visually). Seeing is deeper than looking, seeing goes beyond physical senses into the spiritual illumination of the heart. In seeing you are granted revelation access into deep kingdom mysteries.

[Jeremiah 1:11-12]
11. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
12. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

For the Prophet, he saw a rod of an almond tree representing the watchfulness of God and His word over Israel.
But for you, what are you seeing? Are you seeing failure, poverty, depression, stagnation, reproach, your infirmities, setback, your past? Are you seeing the circumstances you are currently in, or you are seeing what God wants you to see? Are you seeing increase, Favour, Grace, Mercy, protection, prosperity, true riches, healings and other spiritual blessings? THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

[Deuteronomy 30:19] I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live:

You can decide to get into the word of God and see from His perspective, that is, to see with His eyes [Jeremiah 29:11] or you can decide to be quiet about it. You can decide to engage the ministry of prayer and worship till you begin to interface with kingdom realities. When you have seen through the eyes of the Holy spirit,

TOPIC: GO TO THE ANT
TEXT: "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; Consider her ways, and be wise". Proverbs 6:6 KJV

"Go" is the action plan to change your life.
What a powerful example the bible uses to explain practical wisdom.

The ant seemingly small but rigidly consistent, disciplined and diligent also tackles every obstacles without excuse. The bible says in Proverbs 6:6, "Go to the ant". This means learn, study, examine, take a lesson from the ant.

Think about it, the Bible uses one of the world's smallest creature "The ant" to portray practical wisdom in our everyday lives.

The bible also uses the word "consider". It says consider her ways and be wise. To consider means to look at, inspect or perceive...

Today we'll be considering the ways of the ant: Proverbs 7-11.

The first thing we need to note is that the ant is a very wise creature.

- Which having no guide, Overseer, or ruler.
Proverbs 6:7 KJV
The ant doesn't store up excuses , it takes practical step.

Excuses will keep you paralyzed. All you need to do is surrender and present your plans to God.
Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed.
Proverbs 16:3 TPT
When you surrender to Him, He will guide your path.

- Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
(Proverbs 6:8).
It says the ant gathers her meat in summer!, When do you gather? The summer represent opportune time, and Now is the opportune time.

We must be sensitive to time and seasons we're in. God's timing is perfect, submit to His timing.

- How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
(Proverbs 6:9 KJV).

Choose not to slack or sleep in this season. It's time to wake up, It's time to work. For how long will thou sleep?
It is time for a move; there is a shifting happening in this season, so stay in God's word and learn his way. Today's obedience will inspire tomorrow success.

Your seed and the success of future generation weigh in the balance of your obedience and diligence today.
Will you choose to prepare for the future or remain stagnant?.

TITLE :- FELLOWSHIP PRECEDES PARTNERSHIP
TEXT: Genesis 17:1

Many want to do the works of God in the power of the Holy Ghost, but few want to walk (fellowship) with Him. We must realize that God can't empower a believer who doesn't have track record in the school of the Spirit.

If you were a businessman who is seeking to partner with someone, can you partner with a person who has little or no experience (track record) is that particular field? Can you invest your millions in someone you don't trust to utilize those resources well?

That's the way it is with God too. He can't partner with someone who has no fellowship with Him. He can't invest His power and glory into someone who cannot be trusted to use it well.

Our duty is to walk with Him. It's entirely up to Him to give us work to do for Him on earth. This is why we should take our eyes off service and build fellowship first. Fellowship is the priority

Walking with God could practically mean the following and even more:-
- Building a church not being the Pastor.
- Giving up your luxury and living a humble life.
- Leaving a prestigious post in a city to become a missionary in rural areas.

It can require anything because you are on a walk with the Holy Spirit and He is the one leading in this journey e.g. Only those who walk with the Holy Spirit are true sons of God (Romans 8:14)

Abraham knew and walked with God but Lot was just following Abraham and working. Look at what was required of Abraham because he walked with God
- he left his father's house for a destination that he didn't even know
- sacrificed his only son who was born after decades of waiting (the sacrifice was offered according to the judgement of God, because Abraham's heart had given up Isaac).

The things that differentiate a person that walks with God from one that focus works include;
-Intimacy and the presence of God
- Revelation, Wisdom, divine guidance, and victorious living.
- Peace, joy and ease of living.
- Beneficiaries of God's everlasting covenants.

Saul preferred to work for God without having a walk with Him.
