2024 will go down as a year of whiplash for me. Helped my best friends get married. Lost a best friend. Survived two rounds of layoffs by the skin of my teeth. Married the love of my life. Saw my nephew and niece graduate High School. All the while I was quietly working toward finally taking ownership of my body again.

I started this year creeping toward 300 lbs. A lot of this is bad genetics, getting older, injuring myself several times in 2023, and living in the honeymoon phase of my relationship with all the best takeout in app’s reach. But I was a stranger in my own body. I sort of always have been. My body dysmorphia has been my one constant my whole life.

Until now.

Having my now-husband by my side, encouraging me and never judging my body at any stage I was in, I started to change my diet, move more, take fitness seriously, take nutrition seriously, got a PCP who listens and cares, and eventually started to enjoy my body again. Most of the time I still feel like an alien in a meat suit, but at least this one is tailored and fitted. Happy new year everyone!

I forgot to get pictures of the tattoos I did at the convention, but managed to see this healed assassin rogue raccoon tattoo yesterday at the Punk Rock Flea Market on @uninsomnia and I am SO HAPPY WITH HOW WELL THIS HEALED just ✨flawlessly✨ 🥹🫶🏻

I got to finish up these incredibly fun shin pieces today on the ever so wonderful @uninsomnia 🥰
Line were healed and color is fresh! A lot of the colors are pretty red and angry so I CANNOT WAIT to see how these heal and settle!
