Come with me to the Wilmington Black Food Festival at The Queen for the finale of Wilmington Black Restaurant Week 🎉 Free tastings from Black-owned businesses, plus a live student cookoff and DJ. 🔥

Hosted by @lorenlorosa and cohosted by @blakethebrain and they did amazing ✨ The energy was unmatched with karaoke during the cookoff and so many great people in the building.

The students really showed out and the future is definitely bright. So much love seeing Black owned businesses thriving and getting the recognition they deserve. Support them all year long, you do not want to miss this next year. 💪🏾

Black Restaurant Week finished up with an event at @queenwilmington , @laylannous and I were lucky to attend and it was phenomenal.

The quality of every restaurant there was top notch, the vibes were immaculate, the food was free and top tier. The DJ played some bangers and I even got love for the @godscinc jacket from some Howard Alums.

I suggest yall take the time to go out and see some of the things happening in your community because there are a lot of awesome people doing awe inspiring things.

I frequently talk about giving your time and energy to others and part of why this was so good was because of how kind-hearted and willing these local business owners were.

FINALLY got my taste buds wrapped around vegan food from Unique-Li Vegan. The depth of flavor was amazing and having the dish over the quinoa created a textural delight. Absolutely loved my meal. Vegans and meat-eaters alike, go get you some!
