Stumbled upon this adorable @pratikpen nib while digging through my stuff—it was tucked away in a goodie bag from that Roman Holiday @calligraphyconference ! 🌟

Had no clue what it was, but finally got some time to tinker with it. Fits perfectly with my customised @uniqueobliques holder! Turns out it’s super fun, plus I can finally put my beautiful @sailor.1911 ink from @muzepens to good use! Loving this little fun discovery! Thanks @rachelyallop ! ❤️

8 YEARS ago, i got a pen holder from Brian @uniqueobliques

He made calligraphy more interesting for me with his well-crafted penholders!

May his new adventure be as exciting as turning penholders! Hugs to Brian & his lovely wife Rhonda❤️

I have had these beautiful wax seal stamps from @kathrynhastingsco for awhile but had not found time to post them until now. The lovely Cherub and quill wax seal, Ariel on a Bat and the fabulous Holiday Bow with the Horsehead handle. Antique pen tray and penstaff by Brian Smith @uniqueobliques . Love them so much! #calligraphysupplies #calligraphy #vintagetools #vintagesupplies #waxsealstamps #waxsealsupplies #waxseals #sealingwax #deskdecor

Help me, all you overwriter lefty calligraphers out there! I'm seconds from dragging my hand through this. (See green smudge already on paper).

I am taking an enjoyable Gothic Textualis class taught by @uniqueobliques (through the @thegentlepenman ). I need some suggestions on how to practice specific to lefties. What you see here is me using a speedball lefty nib and making most of the strokes backward from what we are learning (sped up 2.5 times).

What works for you? I've tried lefty pilot parallel pens (too inky here) and a "regular" nib. Can you suggest any other tips/tricks/strategies?

(Apart from a brief stint in 7th grade art class, this is the first time I've picked up a broad edge in centuries, so only expect novice work here).

#Il - the SECOND PANEL 2/14
MY most CHALLENGING , all consuming, artistic calligraphy project to date: THE 14 STATIONS OF THE CROSS. Original paintings by the talented @dbozic_art, and the rest is my work. Thanks to Bryan Smith @uniqueobliques for his mentoring and unending encouragement and support🙏🏻 Gothic script ( in Spanish), gold ink, colored guache, on 22x15” wood veneer panels. The pages were then made into a prayer book with a leather bound cover. Thank you to the patron of the arts who waited patiently for these manuscripts and trusted our artistic abilities 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

It’s been a long time since I last picked up my pen to practice copperplate calligraphy. I feel like a beginner again with those shaky hands... but what matters is the inner peace it brings. I hope you also enjoyed a lovely long weekend, recharging and discovering yourself too..

Used my newest etui penny to seal a note to family. Instead of my atrocious handwriting, the seal inspired me to use my calligraphy. It turned into a fun activity where I tried a leaf letterfold from @verseandsip and used one of my beautiful pens from @uniqueobliques #calligraphysupplies #calligraphytools #letterlocking #pointedpencalligraphy #waxseals #waxsealstamps #waxsealsupplies #hastingsetui #uniqueobliques
