Brie Leon’s new identity was an exercise in balancing refinement with a sense of warmth and intention. The result is a sophisticated visual language that reimagines classic forms and motifs through a modern lens. At the heart of the identity is a distinctive uppercase serif logotype, paired with a custom brand stamp inspired by the organic shapes and materials found throughout the collections. Created by mirroring the brand initials, the mark subtly references both the tactile nature of the products and Brie Leon’s focus on community and connection. Together, the logotype, stamp, iconography, and bespoke grid system come together to form a considered identity that reflects the craftsmanship, precision, and thoughtful details that define the brand.

Ten years ago, Brie Leon changed course from its small yet humble beginning. What started with reworking second-hand pieces and deadstock materials has since evolved into a brand with a clear point of view, shaped as much by constraint as it has been by curiosity. Over time, as the brand grew, there were moments where things drifted. Opportunities, pressure, the pace of growth (not to mention life with children), it was easy to move off course without realising it. And I think that’s a natural part of building anything over a long period of time. You follow what you think you should be doing, before questioning whether it still feels true. Yet, the intention has remained the same: to design pieces that sit naturally in everyday life. Not influenced by trend, but by longevity. Objects that we wear often and keep close. Producing only what is needed, working with recycled materials despite their complexity, and partnering with others who share a commitment in understanding the vision, internal and external. I'm so grateful to have worked with so many talented people along the way. Growth hasn’t come from doing more, but from refining what matters. Paying closer attention to the details and understanding that even the smallest decisions carry weight. There’s been a quiet discipline in that process, and also a willingness to evolve when needed. Brie Leon today is more resolved, but still as always, remains open. There is confidence in the foundations, but also space for change in new ideas, new materials, and new ways of making that continue to reduce impact while elevating design. What has remained constant is a belief that objects can hold meaning. That something functional can also feel expressive. That responsibility and aesthetics don’t need to sit apart. Ten years on, the work feels clearer but not finished. And that feels important to me. Looking forward to this next phase, and hope you can continue this journey with us. Kind regards, Janine

For International Women’s Day, we invited a group of women we admire to reflect on a simple question: What has being a woman quietly taught you? Their responses speak to the many dimensions of womanhood - strength and softness, intuition and resilience, independence and community. Each perspective is distinct, yet together they reveal a shared understanding: that womanhood is not singular, but shaped over time through experience, relationships, and self-discovery. Happy IWD 🤍 #internationalwomensday #iwd #womeninbusiness
