Sometimes the thought of doing something is harder than actually doing it.

It’s Sunday. I’ve worked all week and normally today would be about switching off, resting and spending some time away from the gym.

But I had a couple of sessions today that I knew could genuinely help people, so I thought, why not.

And I’m so glad I did.

First up, helping five people prepare for their first gym race next weekend. Practising the events, talking through how to approach it and hopefully giving them the confidence to go into something completely new and enjoy it.

Then something totally different. A pre-season rugby conditioning session with a 17-year-old, helping him get fitter and better prepared for the season ahead.

Two completely different sessions. Two completely different goals.

And I absolutely loved both of them.

After 25 years of coaching, being able to use the experience I’ve built up to help someone achieve something still gives me a massive buzz.

A reminder that I’m very lucky to still genuinely love what I do after all these years. 👊

@j4mesflury might never partner with me again once he sees this reel! 😆

I just couldn’t resist it! The music went too well 🤣 and I’m bored of all the trending songs…

BIG session today @unityfitnesskent 💥

I very nearly bailed as traffic was a mission. But I put my foot down, swerved the traffic and made it my priority to show up and get there!!!

Guys - YOU NEVER REGRET A WORKOUT‼️

You only regret not showing up 💪🏼
