Tough weekend at Ponca…

Saturday was going pretty good and was running 9th in 250 Pro Sport towards the end of the moto when I got a rear flat causing a DNF. That pretty much ruined chances for a good overall in that class which was the main goal of the weekend.

Other than that, my riding was good, starts were solid, but I just need to put in some more work and get the consistency and mistakes under control. I’m ready to dig to finish up the year on a high note at Mini O’s in 7 weeks. 💪🏼

Yesterday I went and raced just for fun and had a blast!
It had been almost exactly 2 years since I’ve raced a SwapMoto race, so it felt really good to go out and get some gate drops during my off time back home.

I had a couple sick battles with @joshmosiman and @sean_lipanovich
My Dad @bobmorales helped me on the line just like the old days and I got to cheer on my friends racing too 🤘🏼
I’ve learned that I’ve gotta enjoy the good moments like these.
One more week of “off time” at home and then back to work 💪🏼

Not every connection I have during my time in Knoxville Iowa revolves around sprint car racing. This is @sgt.jasonbennett - a retired veteran, who has a passion for motocross and for helping build tangible compassion links and hope for retired military through the bond of riding dirt bikes. Jason has much to thank for his new lease on life but first and foremost, the love and support of his wife @mega.bennett brought him to a place he now calls home. I hadn’t heard of the Vet MX group before meeting JB but I could clearly see and hear his passion for spreading the word so that other military folk might find some solace and community in their post active duty life. I was happy to sit down with him and talk some more about this wonderful initiative and by the end of our conversation, I was certainly inspired to spread the word. To all our military left throughout the world I say thank you for your service.
