This parteh wasn’t just for us—it was for you. 🫵🏾🫶🏾 Our community.

I always say, “If no one like come and if nobody like put their stuff on our shelves, there would be no Country Store.” Every person who walks through our doors, every local business that trusts us with their work, every family that makes the drive out to Waiāhole… it truly has been a kākou thing.

Two years ago, I never could’ve imagined what this little 14×16 shop would become. 🙂‍↔️🫶🏾

Mahalo nui for showing up, for supporting local, for sending so much aloha our way… and for patiently waiting your turn to squeeze into our little treasure trove of a shop. 🥹🫶🏾

Watching everyone cruise the booths, grab coffee, make block prints, walaʻau, and spend the day together reminds me exactly why we started this in the first place.

More things to come… Can’t wait to share ’em with you!!

Here’s a look at the few moments I was able to catch while running around yesterday 😂 Mahalo nui to each everyone who came to parteh with us as we celebrate our 2-Year Anniversary!!!

We had exclusive drops in the shop, and amazing pop-ups: @unkos.house vintage Hawai’i kine tings, @aumoanadesigns one-of-a-kind Hawaiian handmade designs, @titas.hale custom Unko Jeans bar, and @kukaneststand good coffee and ono grindz. And of course @waiaholepoifactory Hawaiian plate lunches and sweet ladies to enjoy before you hele on!!

Two years is so sweet with all of you!!! Until the next time you’re in Waiāhole, A HUI HOUUUUUUU!!!

Botanical state of mind 🎄

Starting the New Year with rest and reset. No more busyness 7 days a week. Sundays are our Sabbath, intentional days to make time for each other, reconnect and enjoy each other’s company. We started at @holoholoespresso to try the Mana Wahine, onto a cruise to Ka’aawa to visit our friends, the Yamasakis, pit stop at Kahana Bay to see Haven, enjoy the ocean breeze and reminisce about the beach days we used to have as young entrepreneurs shelling, diving, cruising . Then into Haleiwa to visit Pa’akai Bakery and get some goodies for family dinner night, eat a Bim Bap hand roll and some famous fried chicken, quick pit stop to @unkos.house to meet Makoa and Bri and see all the amazing vintage finds at their new shop and then finally a little Costco run to get dinner and gas. It was a great day! It’s been 3 years since Jim had been to the North Shore so I say it was a productive and successful day! Stay tuned for more “Reis Rest Day Reels”😆@2prophets @flygirl91

I still cannot believe I have my very own Allen Akina dress thanks to @unkos.house 🥹

If you don’t know who Allen Akina is here is a little bit about him. He was a native Hawaiian designer who produced fashions under several labels in Hawaiʻi. He was most famous for his mostly custom made hand silk-screened fabric designs that reference Hawaiian culture and people in his paintings, illustrations, and textiles.

You can find other examples of his work here on Instagram by just using hashtag #allenakina or just a quick google search. His work was and is amazing.
