Senior Lead Officer Choub organized a “Coffee with a Cop” event at Benny Potter Park, creating a welcoming space for community members to connect with local police. ☕👮‍♂️
Residents were invited to ask questions, share concerns, and engage in open conversation in a relaxed setting.

A special thank-you to Councilmember Heather Hutt and @unnc_la for attending and actively connecting with residents while encouraging meaningful discussion about the issues affecting the community.

The event was a great success—thank you to everyone who came out and participated. #lapdhq #lapdsouthbureau #communityengagement #coffeewithacop

We were back out in the community last weekend!

LADOA was proud to share resources and support at the United Neighborhoods Neighborhood Council Health & Resource Fair — connecting with families and neighbors. We are grateful for the leadership and partnership of Councilwoman Heather Hutt, the Department of Recreation and Parks, and Friends of the Jefferson Library.

We were also honored to see former Public Works Commissioner Valerie Shaw, whose mother, Leslie Shaw, is the namesake of the park — a beautiful reminder of the legacy rooted in this community.

This is the true power of community spaces, bringing people together.

From parks to cultural centers, these shared places are vital for connection, creativity, and community well-being. Let’s keep investing in spaces that serve and uplift us all.

🚒Our students had the great honor to perform at a tribute to the LAFD Battalion 11! These firefighters exhibit bravery each day the show up to defend the local community from the dangers of fire, and many defended homes in the Pacific Palisades fire in January. We are so grateful we could share our music with them as a small token of our gratitude! Thank you to the Pico Union Neighborhood Council for inviting us to participate!

🕳️ CHAPTER 10: DLANC|UrbanNeeds – The Spectacle of Service

💥 One committee. Ten months. Zero results.

They promised a map. We got a reel.
They performed advocacy. We performed the glitch.

🎭 @realdlanc isn’t broken. It’s performing exactly as designed — as a mirror maze of polished inaction.

We watched them stall. We watched the funds vanish.

Now we’re watching the mask slip.

⚠️ One committee unmasked. Now on to the others.
