“To surrender to art and accept its vagaries, which are like the unexpected swells in a flowing river is the greatest gift of all. It carries the artist like the turbulent river after monsoon. But in acceptance, one rides the waves to the safety of the quiet ocean.

And I cannot explain the quiet in the ocean… but the silence is one one that fills your being with the voices of an entire generation, the wisdom of the ancients and the music of nature.
And within that silence, having ridden the waves of uncertainty, does the magic begin to unravel.

Let me always know how to surrender… for I know that the silence of this joy is wrought from absolutely nothing else.”
- Rukmini Vijayakumar

@dancerukmini shares her beautiful practice of Bharatanatyam dance and how it led her to finding Shiva.
Shot as part of my ongoing personal project which explores women and gender diverse people who use their artistic practice to channel their spirituality.
