As the world gathered in NYC for #UNGA week to tackle big challenges and share bold ideas, the @cntr4growth convened conversations around two critical questions:

🔴 How can we build a creator economy that is fair, trusted, and inclusive?

Together with @tiktok, we hosted a roundtable bringing content creators – like @drjudithjoseph, @hali.jama, and @andreacasanova – together with ecosystem partners and policymakers, including former Colombian President @ivanduquemarquez, for a candid conversation about building resilience and sustainable livelihoods in the creator economy.

From access to capital and financial education, to navigating the impact of AI, the discussion underscored the need to turn ideas into action, especially as more Gen Z and Gen Alpha look to build their futures around content creation.

🟠 How can data, AI, and emerging technologies help people, rather than harm them?

At our Data for #InclusiveGrowthForum, leaders from across sectors explored how to harness innovation for social good. Speakers including @maria_ressa and @govholcomb shared perspectives on how we navigate this period of rapid technological and societal change – and the anxiety that comes with it – while keeping people at the center of progress.

The common thread across both conversations was clear: Technology is moving fast, and so must we. As these tools reshape our economy and society, all of us have a stake in getting this right.

This was echoed across the other events I attended this week, including time with @unsgsa H.M. Queen Máxima and many other friends and partners across sectors.

Grateful to everyone who joined us during a busy UNGA week. Now, it’s time to turn ideas into action!

The four autonomous countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, that is the Netherlands, Aruba, Curaçao and St Maarten, were represented at #UNGA81 by

As both European and Caribbean, our countries share many of the same global challenges: from rising sea levels to sustainable development and security.

As the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health, Queen Máxima took part in the meeting with the UN Secretary-General, where she presented the UNSGSA Annual Report.

We marked 40 years since the UN Declaration on the Right to Development – an inalienable human right and a cornerstone of the 2030 Agenda.

#KingdomNL is committed to a just, inclusive and sustainable future for all. Next year, we will present our third Voluntary National Review, in close cooperation with youth, civil society and the private sector.

No country can achieve sustainable development alone. That is why we support UN reform to make the organization more representative, resilient and effective.

Twelve years after the downing of flight MH17, our pursuit of truth, justice, and accountability continues.

Together with Australian, Belgian, Malaysian, Ukrainian partners, we remain committed to the victims and their loved ones.

Across the Caribbean islands of the Kingdom—Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba—our realities may differ from those in Europe, but we face the same urgent threat: rising sea levels.

The science is clear. Our response must match the urgency of the challenge.

During UN General Assembly week, Aspen Conexión launched the Financial Health Leadership Coalition for the Americas in partnership with the Office of Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health (@unsgsa)

Our inaugural roundtable brought together executive leaders from the U.S. and Latin America, including @jpmorganchase, @mastercard, @walmart, @pepsico, @wellsfargo, @quipulatam, @santander.global, @bankofamerica, @pncbank, @bancolombia, @vivebanorte and #BlackRock to explore how #FinancialHealth can become more deeply integrated into corporate strategy and the way businesses innovate, grow and serve their customers across Latin America and the U.S. Latino market segment.

The opportunity is to turn the pace of financial innovation into stronger financial outcomes for users. As new technologies, products and business models reshape how people interact with the financial system, private-sector leadership can help translate that progress into trust, credit management and #FinancialWellBeing for Latino individuals and families across the Americas.

This is Aspen Conexión’s convening power at work: bringing different perspectives to the same table to deepen understanding, identify shared opportunities and move promising ideas toward collective action.

This inaugural convening kicks off a broader series for the Coalition throughout 2027 grounded in a shared ambition to strengthen financial health and economic opportunity throughout the region. Le Bénin, à travers l’Agence des Systèmes d’Information et du Numérique (ASIN), vient d’être distingué sur la scène internationale en recevant le 50-in-5 Impact Award 2026, une récompense décernée aux pays ayant démontré un impact concret de leurs infrastructures publiques numériques sur la vie des populations.

Cette distinction a été remise le 21 septembre 2026 à New York, en marge de la 81e Assemblée générale des Nations Unies, au Directeur Général de l’ASIN, Monsieur Marc-André LOKO, à l’occasion du 50-in-5 Milestone Event.

À travers cette récompense, la communauté internationale reconnaît les résultats obtenus par le Bénin dans la construction d’un écosystème numérique intégré reposant sur trois piliers : une identité numérique de confiance, une plateforme nationale d’interopérabilité permettant l’échange sécurisé de données entre administrations, et des services publics numériques accessibles aux citoyens.

De l’identité à l’inclusion, le parcours du Bénin démontre comment des infrastructures publiques numériques peuvent transformer l’accès aux services, simplifier les démarches administratives et renforcer l’inclusion de millions de citoyens, y compris dans les zones rurales.

Cette reconnaissance internationale salue une trajectoire collective impulsée par la vision du Chef de l’Etat et portée par l’ensemble de l’écosystème national, notamment le Ministère de la Transformation Digitale et de l’Innovation du Bénin, l’Agence Nationale d’Identification des Personnes (ANIP), l’Agence des Systèmes d’Information et du Numérique (ASIN) et l’ensemble des partenaires.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the annual Board of Governors meeting of CGAP in Paris, where H.E. joined discussions on advancing financial health across borders, highlighting the UAE’s efforts to promote financial inclusion, financial literacy, and financial health.

A meaningful moment during APINDO’s business mission to the Netherlands was a dialogue with Her Majesty Queen Máxima in her role as UNSGSA.

Building on her 2025 visit to Indonesia, APINDO—led by Shinta W. Kamdani—presented the APINDO Financial Health Coalition, an employer-led initiative to strengthen employee wellbeing, MSME resilience, and inclusive growth.

Joined by H.E. Ambassador Amrih Jinangkung, Prof. Mari Elka Pangestu, and partners from Indonesia and the Netherlands, the discussion underscored a central idea: financial inclusion opens doors, but financial health builds resilience and opportunity. Employers are key to translating this into scalable, practical solutions.

In this context, we also highlighted the #WEFinanceCode Indonesia, supported by ADB and IsDB, which complements these efforts by expanding access to finance, markets, and networks for women-led businesses.

Grateful to Her Majesty Queen Máxima, Shinta W. Kamdani, and all partners for a forward-looking dialogue. Next step: turning this shared vision into action.
