The inspiration for the collection came from the red sweater, purple sweatshirt, and pink button-up shirt which were given to me by a family member for upcycling. The colors were so fun and playful and reminded me of the whimsical styles from my favorite fashion video games from my childhood. Everything is upcycled from secondhand clothing or from more unconventional materials like quilts, tablecloths, towels, and doilies! And almost all the runway pieces are available if you are interested :)

Mini Fashion Vlog at @culxrhouseomaha for 2026 ! Thank you again for another opportunity to show case my art in another form , clothing once again. Yes I’m still obsessed with teeth and grillz at the moment but added some color this time. I have also challenged myself to make other forms of clothing such as tube top , long skirt , capris and a cowler top at random. These are all made with the naked eye with no mannequin. Each time I do this I surprise myself and I still don’t consider myself a seamstress yet. I’m still pretty scared to walk infront of people for modeling but loosening up gradually .

We are back, hunnies!
The fifth installment of CCF is on the books. Come experience a small part of Omaha’s vast, yet often hidden, sustainable fashion scene.

We’re bringing you more fashion, clothing swaps, film screenings, mending workshops and connection in community with a cornerstone of slow, ethical fashion.

At its heart, Conscious Collections Fest is about giving a damn and showing up in community and for community! Of course fashion is fun, but it is deeply political. Always has been and creating community and art is an act of resistance.

Having these communities pushes back on the powers that be…the ones that want us fragmented and stuck in the loop of disconnect, overconsumption and convenience.

This CCF community of designers, models, photographers, hair and makeup, volunteers, literally anyone who has come to a clothing swap, panel or fashion show…all of you make this space so special and we cannot wait to share what Conscious Collections Fest — September 2026 will look like!
