One more reason to become an active memebr of the @design_institute_au is the very happy celebrations of our community, including our young designers!

Back in August, myself and the NSW council celebrated the outstanding achievements of the recent design graduates across universities in NSW, through our flagship graduates of the year awards known as GOTYA programme.

Australia’s only program of its kind, GOTYA uniquely brings leading design professionals and industry figures directly into the review process of graduates’ work, giving educators and early career designers access to expert evaluation and industry perspectives.

👀 Im a little biased here, but as an educator at UNSW i was so proud to see so many winners from @ides_unsw @bachelor_of_design_unsw @unswada

Was a pleasure MCing this event at the beautiful @stylecraftfurniture sydney showroom, with @duluxaus as our generous prize partner.

Congratulations again to our incredible graduates! Welcome to the professional world of design!

Our work in Melamchi, #Nepal, has shown us that the impacts of a #disaster can continue long after the floodwaters recede.

Homes may be gone. Livelihoods disrupted. Land may no longer be safe to rebuild on. Families may have to move, often without knowing where they will go next.

As Nepal begins the long recovery from the #Rasuwa disaster, these less visible impacts will matter just as much.

We spend years chasing things that eventually lose their shine..,✨
Yet often overlook the gifts that make life possible—
clean air, pure water, and the beauty of nature around us..🌍

Real wealth is not what we own..🌻
It is what we can still breathe, drink, and experience every single day.. 🧘‍♀️

Protecting our planet isn't just a responsibility;
it's an investment in every generation that follows us...🌱✨

💭 If you could save just ONE thing for future generations, what would it be?

drop with emoji in comments: AIR, WATER, FORESTS, or WILDLIFE.. 💚

♻️ Share this with someone who believes nature is our greatest treasure..

After months of anticipation, the Seidler International Study Trip to Venice is now underway! In partnership with @iuav_venezia 21 @unswada #landscapearchitecture, #architecture and #interiorarchitecture students from @unswbe will work alongside local students in the field and across lagoon biotypes, to explore landscape morphology and ecosystem services vital for the city and region to achieve the ambitions of Europe’s Green New Deal. The 55,000ha Venice Lagoon, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is Italy’s (as well as Europe’s) largest coastal wetland, and spans diverse ecosystems—saltmarshes, mudflats, and seagrass meadows—shaped by centuries of human intervention for at least 1600 years. Central to Europe’s Green Deal and climate-neutral goals, the lagoons restoration enhances carbon sequestration and sustains Venice’s socio-ecological and socio-spatial futures amid rising seas and changing climate. This intensive study tour will collaborate with academics, experts, and policymakers to bring local knowledge to the forefront of student learning. Students will critically examine and propose creative practices to reframe the lagoons identity, revealing narratives within global commons aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals. A big thanks to the team at IUAV especially Professor Dario Trabucco, and teaching assistant Dr Giovanni Perrucci, and our own Philip Oldfield alongside the generous philanthropic support of Penelope Seidler for supporting this experience. Course convenor and Director of Landscape Architecthre Dr Sara Padgett Kjaersgaard says she is “honoured to lead and facilitate the learning of this talented group of students”. Image 1: Students and staff in the courtyard of IUAV’s ‘Tolentini’ building which houses the university library and proudly contains the largest specialised collection architectural and design records in Europe (not to mention the main gate is designed by Carlo Scarpa).

Day in my life as a Student Ambassador at UNSW 💛
From missing my light rail in the rain 🌧️ to finally rocking the UNSW tee + hat 🧢, it was a full day of campus bingo, good food, and presenting everything UNSW has to offer 🤯.
Being part of this reminded me how much there is to explore on campus beyond classes.
Would you join a campus tour with me? 👀✨

Perbincangan terasa ‘ classy ‘ dan bermakna, in a way that Ia adalah orang yang memang menghidupi apa yang dia ajarkan.

Berbincang from strength to strength, story by story, sesuatu yang merupakan esensi dari buku Fullspec.

Terimakasih Adon Saptowo ! Sa
