When the government uses women leaders as objects to enforce male control and dominance, what do you expect from its citizens?

This isn't progress. Misogyny here is state-sponsored, displayed, and celebrated at a national level.

Swipe through to see the reality behind the illusion of female empowerment.

We talk about equality online, but we ignore the quiet exploitation inside our own homes.

Generations of women were conditioned to burn themselves out so grown adults could live comfortably. They don't complain, they don't ask for help, and society calls that 'love'.

If you claim to be progressive, look around your living space today. Who carries the mental load? Who works until everyone else rests?

Real change isn't a debate. It starts on your own floor.

Deburden the women in your lives.

This resignation is a beginning.

A reminder that when people refuse to give up, accountability is possible.

But one resignation does not undo everything that brought us to the streets.

There are still countless questions waiting to be answered. Our forests. Our rivers. Our institutions. Our education. Our rights. Our democracy.

We have a long way to go.

To the students and young people who reminded so many of us what courage looks like, thank you!

You didn't just fight for your own future. You reminded the rest of us that this country belongs to all of us, and that citizenship is something we practise, not something we inherit.

Now it's our turn to stay awake.

This is our country. It is our responsibility to leave it kinder, freer and more just than we found it, for ourselves, and for the generations that come after us.

I can't wait to stand beside you all on the streets again.

Let's keep showing up.

Let's stay kind.

Let's stay compassionate.

Let's stay attentive to one another.

Hum honge kamyaab.
