What if you could step inside the Arctic without leaving South Florida? ❄️

Dead Snow (Goasstejiegna) by Stockholm-based creative studio Untitled Services brings the Swedish Arctic to South Florida, recreating its vastness, silence, and extreme seasonal shifts through light, sound, and real-time digital landscapes.

Using 3D scanning, machine learning, projection, and interactive controls, the installation lets you shape elements of the environment, from the sun and wind to your movement through the terrain.

But the Arctic doesn’t stay quiet for long. Without warning, the snow turns black, rain begins to fall, a red sun appears, and the soundscape takes a darker turn.

Commissioned by MAD Arts, this work invites guests on an immersive encounter with a landscape that is constantly changing.

❄️ Opening November 19
📍 MAD Arts, Dania Beach, FL

iljakarilampi.com is live

Designed in close collaboration with Miguel Gajdos and Bryant Wells, New York. The site is built as a receipt – proof-of-work rather than archive. Work from then to now, printed as one continuous roll: exhibitions, public commissions, the mirrors, the LED pieces, the films. 1.05GB and still scrolling.

It came out of an ongoing dialogue over the past years, a slow back-and-forth about what a complete catalogue could actually do. Big thanks @3000000000am & @beedotnet for the patience and for making it real.
