Yesterday, students stopped by to explore majors, connect with departments and learn more about the many paths available through the College of Arts and Sciences.

Taking a step back from Painting No. 2, I can't help but admire how perfectly it stands beside Painting No. 1. Every brushstroke carries the same standard, the same discipline, and the same relentless pursuit of excellence. This is what hard work looks like. This is what dedication creates. This is what happens when you refuse to compromise your vision.

𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗰𝗖𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗻, a professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, was featured as a guest columnist in @dailymemphian, writing about the need for a forensic crime lab in Memphis and the logistics of building one locally. Find the op-ed at the link in our bio. 🔬

For the past two years, Dr. McCutcheon has led a team tasked with developing feasibility studies for a local crime lab. He was the lead author on a report detailing the study's findings, published in September by UofM's Public Safety Institute. 📑

The Reentry Simulation was a huge success! Thank you to the Criminology Department and all of our volunteers who came to support this event! Students got a great look at the struggles of justice-involved individuals coming back into society while learning from professionals with the Office of Probation and Reentry.

We also want to thank the Just City Advocates for inviting us to their Justice without Execution panel event! It was incredible to hear the stories of victims and exonerated individuals about how the death penalty affected their lives.
