When one of our own faces a fight we show up and make sure she knows she’s not fighting alone 💗

This past weekend we got the chance to supports and honour one of our former players, Tiffany Toniello. Tiffany wore number 7 when she played with the Cougars from 2007-2011. She was a hard working, determined and optimistic player. She always took every challenge on with a smile and never shied away from difficult situations.

Tiffany’s current challenge is no different. Earlier this year Tiffany was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She found a lump in her breast while she was pregnant with her third child. A treatment plan was quickly formulated and Tiffany began her journey. She was induced at 32 weeks and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Shortly after birth, Tiffany began chemotherapy. She is currently nearing the end of her chemo treatment and has endured the whole process with a smile and optimistic attitude.
Today we support one of our own - Tiffany.

She truly is an inspiration to so many of us. Tiffany, know that you are not on this journey alone and we are all here to support you. Love your Cougar Family! 💛💚💗

Today, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities who continue to carry the impacts of this history.

Today is an opportunity to listen, learn, reflect, and recognize the importance of truth and reconciliation. We encourage our community to take time to learn about the experiences and histories of Indigenous peoples in Canada and to reflect on the role each of us can play in reconciliation.

🧡 Every Child Matters.
