The next chapter of your CRNA journey could start right here! 🤙✨

Over the next several weeks, we’re excited to welcome 135 prospective students to campus as they interview for one of 47 spots in our next DNAP cohort!

Our current students know firsthand the excitement, nerves, and anticipation that come with interview day, so they wanted to share a few words of encouragement and advice for those preparing to take this next step. ❤️

To each of our candidates: we know how much hard work, dedication and sacrifice it has taken to get to this point. We’re incredibly grateful that you’ve chosen to consider @uofscsomc as the place to pursue your nurse anesthesia journey, and we can’t wait to get to know you!

Here’s to new opportunities, big dreams, and the exciting possibilities ahead. Wishing every candidate the very best on interview day!

Congratulations to #PAEducator Rita Brown, #PAStudent Elizabeth Cole, and the University of South Carolina PA Program – one of TWO 2026 recipients of the Kathy J. Pedersen Grant to Promote Equitable Care! Their project will address gaps in emergency preparedness by increasing access to free, culturally responsive, lifesaving education. Ten training events in trusted spaces will reach areas at higher risk for poor cardiac arrest outcomes, including underserved urban and rural populations and minority communities with higher cardiovascular mortality rates.

Meet TSgt Dalton Hughes (@daltonhughes7), a USC SRNA from the DNAP Class of 2028 serving as a Munitions Systems Specialist with the U.S. Air Force - SC Air National Guard. Since 2016, Dalton has served in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Noble Eagle.

Swipe through his interview to see how the teamwork, accountability and calm focus he developed through military service now guide him in the clinical setting as he prepares for a future as a CRNA. ➡️

We are deeply grateful for Dalton’s service to our country and proud to have him a part of our USC family!
