Another one is complete.

I'm incredibly honored to finish another portrait for the @uofmemphis

This painting is dedicated to Richard C. Jones, who served as president of the university from 1939 to 1943. Learning that he never received an official portrait made this commission even more meaningful. To help preserve the legacy of a leader who helped shape this institution is an honor I will never take for granted.

Art has the power to finish what history leaves unfinished, and I'm grateful to have played a small role in bringing another piece of the University of Memphis' history to life.

One more painting complete. The finish line is getting closer.

Taking a step back from Painting No. 2, I can't help but admire how perfectly it stands beside Painting No. 1. Every brushstroke carries the same standard, the same discipline, and the same relentless pursuit of excellence. This is what hard work looks like. This is what dedication creates. This is what happens when you refuse to compromise your vision.

I am incredibly happy and deeply honored to have the opportunity to paint the portrait of Bill Hardgrave, President of the @uofmemphis As an artist and proud Memphian, this is a moment I will never forget.

To have my work recognized and trusted for such a meaningful project is truly humbling. I'm excited to bring this painting to life and create something that reflects the excellence, leadership, and spirit of our university.

Grateful for the opportunity. Grateful for the journey. Grateful for every brushstroke that brought me here.

Fear is the critic that never creates, and rejection is the price of being seen. Turn them both off, pick up your brush, and paint anyway.

STRAVA KING COMMITTED TO UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS DPT 🏃‍♂️ Happy #globalrunningday and congratulations to Mack Yancey, a recent graduate of the Bethel University Exercise Science program, on his admission to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Memphis.

As a former athlete, Mack already understands the dedication, discipline, and resilience required to perform at a high level. We know he will thrive in our DPT program and go on to make a meaningful impact as an evidence-based clinician.

We’re excited to see what the future holds for you, Mack.

The official portrait of the President of the @uofmemphis is coming to life and will be completed no later than Tuesday. This piece represents more than paint on canvas — it’s a tribute to leadership, legacy, and the spirit of Memphis. Grateful for the opportunity to create something meaningful for the city and university that continue to inspire greatness. Stay tuned. 🎨🐅💙
