3,000 HOURS. COUNTLESS LIVES IMPACTED. 🐻🧡

At the University of Pikeville, being a Bear means more than competing. It means serving others, leading by example, and making a difference beyond the game.

Our student-athletes have dedicated 3,000 hours to community service, giving their time to local schools, families, churches, community organizations, and meaningful causes across the region and beyond.

From reading with elementary students and supporting local families to serving our communities and bringing joy to hospitalized children, our Bears continue to show that the impact of college athletics reaches far beyond the scoreboard.

These hours represent more than a number. They represent compassion, leadership, selflessness, and a commitment to something bigger than ourselves.

We are proud of our Bears for representing UPIKE through service and embodying the spirit of the NAIA Champions of Character.

3,000 hours of service. A lasting impact. That’s what it means to be a Bear.🧡

BEARS IN THE COMMUNITY | TENNIS

Our UPIKE men’s and women’s tennis teams took their commitment to service beyond the court by volunteering at Care House at Higher Ground Baptist Church in Kingsport, Tennessee.

From preparing meals and organizing food boxes to helping load supplies for local families, our Bears showed that teamwork matters just as much outside competition as it does on the court.

Proud of our student-athletes for giving their time to serve others!

BEARS IN THE COMMUNITY | WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Sometimes the biggest impact starts with a story. Through Reading with the Bears, our women’s basketball team visits local elementary schools to read with students, connect with young learners, and share a little encouragement along the way.

Our Bears are helping build connections with the next generation, one classroom and one book at a time!

3,000 hours of service. Countless opportunities to make a difference.
